The Florida Department of Transportation completed improvements along Mayport Road in early 2022. Improvements such as "Right Turn Only", and "Turning Vehicles - Stop for Pedestrians" signs were installed on several side streets and "Use Crosswalk" (for pedestrians) signs in several medians. Signal upgrades include adding flashing yellow lights at turn lanes on several intersections and lighting improvements include adding and or replacing luminaires and poles at the Wonderwood Drive intersection.
