On Monday, July 24, the Atlantic Beach City Commission voted to authorize Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida to provide after-school and summer programming in partnership with the City. This collaboration enables our community’s youth to be exposed to more programming while still receiving quality care and support. There is no cost to program participants, who will be Boys’ and Girls Club members at Gail Baker Community Center and Jordan Community Center.
This transition begins Aug. 21, when the Boys & Girls Clubs kicks off after-school programming. Registration is under way; to learn more or to enroll participants, visit www.bgcnf.org/join.
The Cultural Arts and Recreation Department will continue to robustly serve the community -- from our precious youth to our treasured senior citizen population, and everyone in between. So, please stay tuned and involved, and be sure to provide input. Please let us know if you have any questions along the way.
