
The 15th annual Donna Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer will take place this Sunday, Feb. 6. The City of Atlantic Beach is privileged to be able to provide traffic assistance for the marathon. The City looks forward to welcoming this year’s participants and encourages everyone to come out and support the fight to finish breast cancer.
The half and full marathon will start and finish at Latham Plaza in Jacksonville Beach and wind through parts of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach. Vehicles will be prohibited from parking on impacted streets after 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday and is expected to conclude by 3:30 p.m. The majority of the runners will be in our city from about 8:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Residents and workers within the marathon footprint in Atlantic Beach will have access to their homes and businesses, but may experience significant delays.
