Afterschool Program

A parent orientation and open house will be held at Jordan Community Center on Wednesday, August 16, from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Thursday, August 17, from 5 - 7 p.m.

This is where you can get help registering for the program, meet the staff, and ask any questions.

Parents must be in attendance at one of the orientations.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, you can contact the Unit Director, Brooke Thornell, at brooket@bgcnf.org.

BGC Partnership Memo

On Monday, July 24, the Atlantic Beach City Commission voted to authorize Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida to provide after-school and summer programming in partnership with the City. This collaboration enables our community’s youth to be exposed to more programming while still receiving quality care and support. There is no cost to program participants, who will be Boys and Girls Club members at Gail Baker Community Center and Jordan Community Center.

This transition begins Aug. 21, when the Boys & Girls Clubs kicks off after-school programming.  Registration is underway; to learn more or to enroll participants, visit www.bgcnf.org/join.

Your Cultural Arts and Recreation Department will continue to robustly serve the community -- from our precious youth to our treasured senior citizen population and everyone in between. So, please stay tuned and involved, and be sure to provide input. Please let me know if you have any questions along the way.
