*Due to the impending Hurricane Ian, all classes/programs have been canceled beginning Wednesday, September 28, through the remainder of the week. This includes all afterschool programs and programming. 

City offices, including community centers, will be closed beginning at noon on Wednesday, September 28. 

We hope to go back to regular programming next week.

The Cultural Arts & Recreation Department offers two community centers and one cultural center with recreational programs for your enjoyment. We provide opportunities for you and your family to participate in cultural and leisure activities while enjoying our many beautiful parks.

The City of Atlantic Beach has approximately two miles of white sandy beaches with 19 ocean beach accesses. In addition to the beach, the City has about 65 acres of parkland, including Dutton Island Preserve on the Intracoastal waterway.

The Recreation Department offers activities such as after-school programs, youth sports, senior programs, summer camps, and Special Events that include local talent concerts, Arts in the Park, Family Fun Day/Campout, Movies under the Stars, and Holiday celebrations for families and much more.
