Atlantic Beach Elementary School-area traffic congestion and safety

From the Atlantic Beach Police Department: Our officers will be working on Sherry Drive during ABE school dismissal hours (2p-3p), enforcing improper passing laws in the 200-600 blocks of Sherry Drive. We will be giving out warnings in an attempt to educate for a week, then will be citing violators ($164). We are aware of the traffic congestion during school drop off and pick up hours, however we all have to work together to ensure everyone's safety. If you live in the area of ABE and are not picking up a student, please try to drive an alternate route during these hours. Every little bit helps to minimize traffic during these times. #thanksforhelping #minimizethetraffic #followthelaws #improperpassingisdangerous #thisroadiscurvyandyoucan'tdriveinthewronglane #it'snotsafe #ABE 🚓🚗🚌🚕🏎🚌⏰🛑❌
