Coronavirus COVID-19-Web-graphic-(002)March 4, 2020

To: City of Atlantic Beach residents and employees

From: Shane Corbin, Atlantic Beach City Manager

As we continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, it is important to remain calm and stay informed about the virus. The Florida Department of Health is our community’s point of contact and subject-matter-expert on this topic. As such, here is the Florida Department of Health’s prevailing message regarding the coronavirus; we ask that all of our residents and employees follow this advice:

Protect yourself and your community from COVID-19. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home when you are sick.

Below are resources to review and share to assist in controlling the spread of the coronavirus and educating the public on prevention tips. Additional helpful links also are listed. We will continue to update www.coab.us/coronavirus as new information develops.
