Songwriter's Concert - January 9 - 6 p.m.

We want to welcome you back to our Songwriter's Concert IN PERSON! Enjoy the original sounds by local talent in Gulliford Hall at the Adele Grage Cultural Center.
 Whether you write, sing, play or simply enjoy listening to good music, plan on being with us. Hosted by Roy Peak, local performers transform Gulliford Hall from 6-8 pm with original music creations. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

Seating is first come-first served for this admission-free, alcohol-free event. Performers should contact host Roy Peak at for more information.

Shakespeare in the Park - January 14 & 15 - The show starts at 7 p.m.

ShakespeareFlyer2021Apex Theatre Studio’s Bard Bus in conjunction with the City of Atlantic Beach will present Hamlet in 75, a retelling of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedy set in the backwoods of Northeast Florida on Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15 in Johansen Park (1300 Seminole Road, Atlantic Beach). The performance is free and open to the public.  

In its fourth year, the Bard Bus presents contemporary touring productions of Shakespeare’s plays for audiences in the North Florida/South Georgia region. “The seventy-five refers to the running time of the performance,” remarked Ian Mairs, managing director of Apex Theatre Studio. The production features Apex students, faculty, and guest artists. New York-based actor Nick Case plays the title role. 

Food trucks will arrive at 6 p.m. The show starts at 7 p.m.

We encourage attendees to bring their own blankets, chairs, and snacks. However, chairs are available.  Email or call 904-247-5828 for more information.

The Rhoda Martin Cultural Heritage Center Celebrates Martin Luther King Day - January 15 - 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The event will be held at Seawalk Pavilion at 75 1st St. N, Jacksonville Beach, and is sponsored by the cities of Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach, Birds of Fire Ministries, and Christ Episcopal Church of PV.

The event is free and open to the public.

Wild Wonders - March 12 - 1 p.m.

Wild Wonders will return to Dutton Island Preserve Pavilion on Saturday, March 12 at 1 p.m. This season's show will be, "Dinosaurs Among Us." This is an informative and interactive live show that displays local and exotic reptiles. Children and adults are encouraged to participate in the program by holding select animals and performing small roles. Together we will explore the interesting and colorful facts of the Reptile world. Of course, we will have a few warm fuzzies to pet. Come join us as we look into these interesting prehistoric creatures. Great for all ages! For more information email or call 904-247-5828

Host, Roy Peak, and friends will be in Bull Memorial Park for a concert in the Park under the swaying palm trees with the ocean breeze! It doesn’t get any better than this on a beautiful summer evening as you enjoy the music on your blanket, in your chair, or standing around with neighbors and friends, listening to the musical talent of local singers of all ages. Come rain or shine. In event of inclement weather, the event moves indoors at Gulliford Hall in Adele Grage Cultural Center. 

Come hungry, Featuring Food Truck will be available for dinner from 5-8:30 pm on 7th St. at East Coast Dr.

Bull Memorial Park is located on the corner of 7th St. & East Coast Drive. Ride, Walk, Run, or Drive, it’s going to be a great evening! Performers should contact host Roy Peak at  Prepare two original songs of 7-8 minutes combined maximum.

Arts in the Park 2022 - April 9 - 10 a.m.

Senior Activities - Gail Baker Center

Atlantic Beach loves our Senior Citizens! Seniors, if you’re looking for something to do, join us at the Gail Baker Community Center with your friends and make some new ones.

Senior activities include:

  • Health & wellness

Tai Chi will be held on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. on Oct. 19 & 26, Nov. 9, 23, & 30, and Dec. 14 & 28.

Atlantic Beach is your beach.  Please enjoy our beautiful beaches, keep it clean, and only leave footprints & paw prints behind.

The City of Atlantic Beach allows leashed dogs on the beach, except while in the water. Please respect your fellow beachgoers. 

Weddings on the beach require a permit issued at the Recreation Department.

Please dispose of all trash and pet droppings in the trash receptacles provided at each beach access. Respect others while on the beach and be safe. Thank you for making  "your" Atlantic Beach beautiful!
