The Adele Grage Cultural Center @ Bull Memorial Park
716 Ocean Blvd.

The Adele Grage Cultural Center & Gulliford Hall, home of Songwriters Concerts, consists of 2500 square feet with a 20' x 40' meeting/reception room (open for public reservation) seats 65 people, a full-use kitchen, a small theater (Gulliford Hall), art gallery and the Cultural Arts & Recreation offices. The art gallery area exhibits monthly featured artists with a reception for the artist during the North Beaches Art Walk on the third Thursday of each month, unless otherwise noted. Bull Park is the home of Acoustic Nights monthly March-October and now Movies in the Park in August.

Event Room

Information on Renting the Adele Grage Cultural Center

The community room/theater may be rented for one-time use or recurring use (6 or more meetings per year).  
One-time or short-term fees:

  • Usage Fee $100/hr Friday-Sunday and if serving beer/wine | $50/hr Monday-Thursday. Rental time includes set-up and clean-up time. Daily rates are available upon request.
  • Hours are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Refundable $200 deposit (mailed 5-10 business days after the event if terms of the contract are met).
  • Lost security badge fee - $20 (deducted from deposit)

Fundraising events, or events involving sales or entry fees, are not allowed. Six - 5 ft. round tables, six - 6 ft. rectangular tables, and 75 chairs are included. The kitchen includes a microwave, a 4-burner stove, an oven, and a standard refrigerator. The building and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.   

  • Reservations can be made up to one year before an event. Deposits will be returned by check 5-10 business days after the event if the terms of the contract are met. 
  • Beer/wine is allowed inside the building and on the porch.  Drinks may not be taken off the porch into the park area. (Hiring of police officer required - $50/hr; minimum of 4 hrs).
  • Music (live or recorded) is allowed at a reasonable sound level inside the building; music may not be outside on the porch or in the park out of courtesy to the neighbors. 
  • A Special Event Application is required for weddings in a park or on the beach.

A contract and the amount paid in full are required to reserve the space for an event.  A rental contract is available online and must be approved by staff before payment can be made via our online website.  We accept all major credit cards, checks (10 business days prior to the event), and cash.

The Cultural Arts & Recreation office is open Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.  Reservations can be made online and must be made at least 7 days in advance of your event.

Gail Baker Community Center  @ Donner Park

The Gail Baker Community Center at Donner Park has a large community room with a full kitchen. The Center has programs for Senior Citizens, Homework Assistance/Tutoring, After School Program, summer camps, and more. For more information on activity dates or events call 904-247-5851.

Donner Park, located in the Marsh Oaks area at the corner of Church Street and George Street, consists of over 5 acres of parkland. Donner Park has a full basketball court, a softball field, a large sanded playground area, two tennis courts, and Pickle Ball courts coming soon. The park is shaded by oak and pecan trees and is home to many of the City's community activities, including summer camp, flag football, Fall Festival, Holiday Toy Party, and Twilight Movies in September.  For more information on activities and programs at the Baker Center, please call 904- 247-5851.

  • No alcoholic beverages are permitted inside the building or on the porch. 
  • Music (live or recorded) is allowed at a reasonable sound level inside the building; music may not be outside on the porch or in the park out of courtesy to the neighbors. 
  • A Special Event Application is required for weddings in a park or on the beach.
  • Any outside event (public or private) that has 50 or more in attendance requires approval which could take at least 2 weeks or longer, depending on the event.

Jordan Community Center
1671 Francis Avenue

Jordan Park Community Center consists of 2000 square feet  and offices of Habitat Jax occupy Jordan Center.  A community room with kitchen is available for rent. Jordan Park, located at the corner of Francis Avenue and Jackson Road, is an active park that consists of 1.5 acres of parkland. Jordan Park has a large playground area, covered picnic  pavilion with tables (available for reservation), a tot lot, basketball court and a community center.

Jordan Community Center provides an After School Program with homework assistance and tutoring for all Atlantic Beach children and the Beaches Habitat's Education Enrichment offices.

Jordan Park is home to the City’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt held the Saturday before Easter, the Canine Carnivale, and Movies in the Park. For more information on activities and programs, please call 904-247-4038.
